Keith Haring Defied All Odds! Now, You Can See the Culmination of His Hard Work
The Arlington Museum of Art is dedicated to champion creativity and to provide access to art for the cultural enrichment and economic development of our community. The AMA is a not-for-profit 501(c)3 organization administered by a board of trustees and run by a small staff with assistance from a dependable volunteer base.
Arlington Museum of Art will present Keith Haring: "Against All Odds.” Together, more than 50 original works serve to deconstruct the traditional view of Haring as an artist. Beyond his well-known graphic iconography, the exhibition also explores his use of mark-making as a metaphor and his desire to address weighty subjects such as consumerism, poverty, and violence.
The Haring exhibit is a continuation of AMA’s commitment to bringing renowned artists to North Central Texas, including works by Vivian Maier, Ansel Adams, Toulouse Lautrec, Rembrandt, Pablo Picasso, Frank Lloyd Wright, and Milton Greene.
Admission $5 for students and seniors, $10 for adults, and free for children under 12. Donations are also welcome. We encourage you to check out this telling exhibit while it’s available!
Although we provide the utmost luxury at McDermott Crossing Apartments in Plano, Texas, we realize that you need to get out and socialize with those in your surrounding community. This event gives you the chance to do just that! Don’t hesitate to attend today!
